- Idli batter – 3 big bowl (To make 15 idli)
- Oil – 3 teaspoons
- Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon
- Bengal gram dhal – 1 teaspoon
- Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
- Asafotida Powder – a pinch
- Cashew Nuts – few
- Ground Nut – a handful
- Green chillies – 5
- Fresh ginger – a small piece
- Garlic Pearls – 2
- Curry Leaves – few

Cleave ginger, garlic, green chillies, curry leaves finely.
In a kadai put the oil and when it is hot include mustard. When it flies up, include the dhals and nuts, asafotida powder and sear till the dhals transform into light dark colored. At that point include cleaved ginger, garlic, chillies and curry clears out. Broil for couple of more seconds. Add this flavoring to the player. Blend well and make idlies.
Present with chutney, sambar or Idli Podi.
