Aval (Poha) Kozhukattai, Spicy Aval Kozhukattai, Easy Kozhukattai Recipe
- Red Aval (Poha) – 2 cups
- Coconut Gratings – 1 cup
- Oil – 1 teaspoon
- Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon
- Bengal Gram Dhal – 1 tablespoon
- Urad Dhal – 1 tablespoon
- Asafoetida Powder – a pinch
- Green Chillies – 2
- Curry Leaves – few
- Salt – 1 teaspoon or as per taste
South Indian Food Recipes (Menu), Wash the poha and absorb it water for about 30 minutes. Deplete the overabundance water assuming any. Put the absorbed poha a vessel and include salt. Work it well.
In a little kadai put the oil and when it is hot include mustard. When it begins crackling include bengal gram dhal, urad dhal and asafotida powder and broil till the dhals turn light dark colored. Include hacked green chillies and curry leaves to the flavoring and sear for some time. Add this to the manipulated poha. Include coconut gratings likewise and by and by work everything great.
Take a lemon estimate mixture and make oval shape kozhukattai. Mastermind it in a lubed idli plate and steam cook it for 5 to 7 minutes.
Serve with chutney.
